Abortion is a human rights issue of our time.    Abortion is a moral issue that has been made political. The politics of abortion has taken away the dignity of a woman by making a statement  that the capacity for motherhood is a liability.

Abortion doesn’t cure any illness nor does it win any woman a promotion or a raise.  But in a culture that treats pregnancy and child rearing as a disadvantage, it surgically adapts the woman to fit in.  If women are an oppressed group, they are the only such group to require surgery in order to be equal.

Abortion is not healthcare.  Contraception (prevention of pregnancy)  is healthcare. There are situations in pregnancy that may require the direction of a medical professional, but in most instances women facing unwanted pregnancy have the option of adoption, and how selfless and empowering is it to provide a life for another woman, who does not have the ability to conceive life.

Being pro-life is being pro-woman and choosing life is empowering
